Lepismium Bolivianum Jungle Cactus 165mm Hanging
Lepismium Bolivianum, also known as Pfeiffera Boliviana or Rhipsalis Boliviana, is a jungle cactus that growns as clumping, branching stems. Stems can hang up to 90cm and the bright green leaves create an eyecatching waterfall.
Care Level - Easy. With the right light, these are easy care. Dont overwater, find a good spot, and you should have a happy plant.
Light - In it's natural environment, these plants are in the canopy and receive filtered and dappled light. Too much hot sun, such as western sun in the hottest months can lead to leaf burn.
Water - Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Bolivianum don't need regular watering, however water well and allow the water to drain well, ensuring the pot isn't sitting in water.
Food - In warmer growing months, give a quality liquid fertiliser monthly for the best growth, but hold off during winter.
Propagation - Bolivianum is fairly easy to propagate, but can be on the slow side. You can cut the stems, allow end to dry before potting into soil. Make sure you plant the correct end of your cutting. Best to prop in warmer months for best results.
Soil - All jungle cactus love a well draining soil, thats light, fluffy and has some oxygen. A light cactus succulent mix is great, as is soil blended with perlite and coco.
Pets - The Bolivianum is considered non toxic to pets and humans, so safe for your fur babies.
